Merry Christmas!

We have been busy making all sort of treats lately. These were my favorite to make. So yummy and fun.

Dayne helped cut them out, and then helped with the frosting. I let him have total control on making this bell. It was the last of the frosting and the last cookie, so I thought what the heck!

Look at that frosting go! We put extra Amaretto flavoring in it. Love it!

He stared looking at this cookie forever. He then licked all the frosting off and left the rest on the kitchen counter.

I got the recipe off allrecipes.com and I highly recommend it. It was really easy to make the dough one day, then roll it out and bake the next day. They turned out so soft! I also put some of the cookies in the freezer waiting to be frosted, so they were ready and more fresh when I needed them. I just took out how many I wanted and frosted them with fresh frosting. Super fun and easy!

This year...

Christmas Vacation just started and I feel like I have some breathing room! It's been a big year! We are expecting our second child April 14. We haven't found out the sex, but we are hoping to next month. Here are some pictures and events of the past year:
We bought a Nikon SLR Camera, and takes some fun pictures. These are a few of my favorites:
Celebrated America's Birthday,
This is a big one. We bought a new house. I just took pictures, thus the Christmas decorations, and it's been exciting, stressful, and fun.
Our bedroom and living room are the only rooms completely done. It has 4 bedrooms and another family room, we are still getting those rooms together. It's been a work in progress.
Dayne celebrated his third birthday. I think this year he has been more fun and demanding than ever!
We took some family pictures...
Carved 58 pumpkins. Yes 58, it took over 35 hours of man power, but it was worth it. Here are a few of my favorites. Recognize anyone?
Dayne was a dragon this year...We have probably watched How to Train Your Dragon 58 times ;)
It has been a fun year!
Lots of love,
Rachael, Nick, and Dayne
