Back to School...

I just started school this week at BYU-I. Man am I ready to be done. I'm taking two practicum classes. These two classes alone take 20 hours a week in class time. I'm also taking Social Studies Methods, Assessment and Evaluation, and Sewing (my personal favorite). It's rejuvenating to be back at school, but I miss Dayne. Well wish me luck. It all will be over soon.

My Dress!!

Lately I have had a lot of time on my hands to learn new things. I have been sewing and I have made a few pairs of pants and shirt and some blankets. This has bloomed into something great. I plan to take a child's construction class this semester and I think it will be a blast. I ventured to make a dress. I was inspired by all the cute spring dresses and I thought "Why not?" Well here it is. It's not perfect, but maybe I'll get perfection after much practice!!

Tagged

10 Years Ago:
I was just a teenager in Middle School. I made some life changing decisions and decided which friends I could "Hang Out" with on the weekends. My best friend was Heather Posey, and we loved to have sleepovers. I was interested in boys, but way too scared to talk to one.

5 Places I have visited:
New York
Washington DC
Victoria Canada
Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico
Mt. Rushmore
(4 of these places were all within the same month!)

5 Things on my to-do list:
Get into Lit 3 class
Cut Nick's Hair
Fold Laundry
Put up summer decorations
Cook dinner

Lifetime Goals
Go to Germany
Finish my degree and find a job I love
Learn how to surf
Build a house
Learn how to really play the piano

3 Bad Habits

Nail biting
Not folding laundry
Not calling my family members enough

5 Things you may not know about me:

When I was 13 I went on a month long Road Trip with my family. I was in a van with five people! The first week was really long, and then it started to go by so fast. My favorite place was fishing at Lake Ingwadana in Minnesota.

When I was in High School I learned to make pottery. I took a class at BYU-I and I learned to make some pretty decent stuff. I want to have a studio to make pottery and teach my family the craft.

I haven't been liking cooked ground beef lately. I like Hamburgers just fine, but for some reason ground beef has been tasting old or something.

When I was a freshman I had 80 people in my High School class. When we were seniors 30 people left and we ended up with 50 people graduating... pretty sad huh.

I have a mini herb garden in my bedroom window. I wonder if it will ever be grown enough to harvest?

I tag Brianne, Keri, and Liz

April Fools

So it was the first April Fools Nick and I have pulled off and we've decided that this is a much needed tradition. We didn't do anything too bad. We were looking for a fake dog turd, but there are no party stores in Idaho Falls! So we decided to make them out of Tootsie Rolls. Well we put about ten of them all over the walkway and entrances. Sadly Grandpa knew right away it was tootsie rolls and wasn't happy. But we decided to leave a surprise on the toilet!

This was the funnest April Fools we've had. We just have to watch out next year for any retaliation.

Spidey Dayne

So we went into Once Upon a Child the other day and found these great pj's. If any of you know Nick you know that he is a Spiderman fanatic. We have a special Spiderman room in our apartment filled with collectables. So ya, he was a bit excited. We were so ready to get Dayne into them. They are so warm and soft. He loves them and he is just our own little super hero!
